Chemical Handler

We are a 100% employee-owned organization that distributes solvents, chemicals, and composites, and takes customer's hazardous and non-hazardous waste, repurposing it. Our team has been successfully doing this since 1932.

• Transfer products into and out of containers using transfer pumps and hoses.
• Read and follow detailed paperwork instructions for chemical amounts and blending.
• Pull product samples and submit to the Lab for quality control.
• Label containers properly and secure to closure specifications.
• Ensure all products are inspected, labeled, stored, and prepared for shipment.
• Stage, load, and unload containers, including pails, drums, and totes.
• Operate a forklift.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to hazard and potential exposure.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, clean operation of equipment and work area.
• Lift and/or move 55 lbs.
• Cross-train in various positions, including shipping/receiving, bulk product handling, inventory control, chemical packaging, fiberglass handling, tote cleaning, preventative plant maintenance, and/or yard truck spotting.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong safety mindset.
• Forklift certification (training provided).
• Effective verbal and written skills for clear interactions with coworkers, chemists, administrative staff, delivery personnel, and management.
