Critical Care Nurse

The Critical Care Registered Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a variety of critical care settings. As a Critical Care RN, you will be accountable for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care, consistently performing according to nursing standards and managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and assess patient signs and symptoms, vital signs, and ventilator management
- Administer medications, insert and manage intravenous lines, and maintain central line care
- Collect and document patient data, analyze and interpret information from healthcare team members, and communicate nursing interventions and expected outcomes
- Function as a resource to the healthcare team in planning for patient discharge and document the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions
- Provide a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment, initiate and evaluate patient and/or family education, and compare expected and actual outcomes of care
- Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
- One year of critical care experience preferred
- Minimum of one year acute or critical care experience preferred
- Current BLS card; current ACLS/PALS card (per facility requirement)
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
