Key Responsibilities:
1. Accurately enter prescriptions from intake to completion while verifying patient information.
2. Serve as a liaison between patients, pharmacists, and healthcare providers, ensuring clear communication through various channels.
3. Conduct refill assessments, gather payment details, and coordinate treatment setups in outpatient facilities.
4. Access and manage prescription and medical information using computer systems.
5. Verify medication reimbursement eligibility and resolve any claim issues.
6. Process prescription refills and assess supply needs related to different therapies.
7. Address customer inquiries and provide accurate information to enhance patient care.
8. Maintain compliance with all State and Federal regulations, adhering to confidentiality and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Kansas.
- Proficiency in Windows PC applications and ability to learn complex systems.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs.
Preferred:
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB).
- Experience in Home Infusion.
- Background in pharmacy or prescription data entry.
