About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Production Planner to lead our Raw Materials Planning activities for a brand. As a key member of our production and sourcing team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the procurement of raw materials to meet our production needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Raw Materials Planning activities for a brand, working under general direction and independently handling complex issues and product responsibilities.
  • Use strong problem-solving skills and industry knowledge to resolve complex issues, influencing cross-functional teams and complex issue resolution with all levels of leadership.
  • Maintain an intense focus on cost and speed as it relates to your book of business, and have a broader scope and more strategic view on costing and speed as it relates to your books of business.
  • Develop and implement effective Raw Materials Planning strategies to meet business objectives, including development stage RM planning, seasonal RM projections, seasonal raw material capacity planning, seasonal RM commitment management, and raw material ownership reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production planning, demand planning, production management, vendors, commercialization, operations, and raw material technical, to ensure seamless execution of Raw Materials Planning activities.
  • Manage training of new hires in the onboarding phase, and be responsible for coaching, feedback, and development of direct report(s).
  • Develop and implement talent management strategies to ensure the growth and development of direct reports, including mentorship, IDP/PPO management, performance reviews, succession planning, coaching and feedback, hiring, and onboarding.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related area or equivalent experience.
  • 6-8 years of experience, preferably in a retail production and sourcing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in retail/production and sourcing, with overseas/factory exposure preferred.
  • Experience working with regional partners required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the supply/vendor base and global manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, with proven Excel skills required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Detailed understanding of product cost.
  • Experience in bringing flexibility and read and react capability to production processes.
  • Proven influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Some US and/or international travel may be required.
Compensation

The estimated range of compensation for this role is $82,500.00 - $112,665.00. Your actual compensation will be determined by a number of relevant factors, including but not limited to your specific skills, experience, and geographic location.
