Williams Distributing Co. and Shoemaker Inc. Divisions of Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, Inc. are seeking skilled professionals to join their team. As a wholesale distribution powerhouse in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, they specialize in HVAC equipment and residential building products. The company aims to improve living environments through products and services that benefit customers' lives, working with dealers, builders, contractors, designers, and architects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute sales functions, including order processing, purchase orders, payment processing, quotes, and delivery dates, ensuring accuracy of information.
  • Support branch sales by communicating new product launches, services, supplies, prices, and new products sales and discounts to dealers through outbound calls and in-house counter discussions.
  • Maintain sales programs within assigned territories by keeping customers informed about available services, supplies, prices, and new products.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including product/order information, sales, warranties, and returns.
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications as needed.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, sales, distribution, and vendors regarding shipments.
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
  • Educate customers about product terminology, features, and benefits to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct cycle counts and replenish showroom stock as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies.
  • Process cash drawers, conduct end-of-shift counts, prepare deposit slips, and place them in the safe.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports on sales activities.
  • Periodically reach out to customers to determine satisfaction with the organization, products, and services.
  • Monitor competitive activity and trends within the territory.
  • Expand knowledge of HVAC products and stay current with the latest industry trends.
  • Work effectively with all levels of management and peers to deliver high-quality service.
  • Understand and follow work instructions, operating procedures, and company policies.
  • Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory counts and product movement.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of progressive sales and customer service experience.
  • 3+ years in the HVAC industry.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • May travel occasionally to customer sites, training events, company-related meetings, etc. (estimated 20%).
