Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Histotechnologist to join our team at Balance Health in Santa Monica, CA. As a Histotechnologist, you will play a critical role in preparing specimens and slides for pathologist examination, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in performing all functions related to specimen preparation, including gross examination, embedding, and microtomy.
  • Maintain tissues, blocks, and slides according to policy, ensuring proper storage and handling.
  • Perform safety, maintenance, and quality control activities in the technical area.
  • Participate in supply inventory management and ordering, as needed.
  • Utilize and maintain all equipment, including tissue processors and histology equipment.
  • Prepare and stain slides, including H/E and special staining.
Requirements:
  • HT (ASCP) certification or equivalent, with 3+ years of relevant experience in a progressive anatomic laboratory.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related scientific discipline, or Associate's degree with certification as a Technician by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
What We Offer:
  • Competitive hourly pay rate, ranging from $30.76 to $40.38 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Benefits eligibility for full-time employees working 30+ hours weekly, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
