We are seeking a highly skilled Andrologist II to join our team at UNC Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily procedures in the andrology lab, including specimen collection and processing.

• Perform daily andrology and endrocrine procedures, including semen analysis and histological techniques.
• Examine and process specimens for semen analysis, performing counts for concentration and motility.
• Process semen for ART procedures and intrauterine insemination (IUIs).
• Recover motile sperm specimens using selective methods.
• Perform semen cytopreservation, testing for immunological infertility, and sperm function tests.
• Refer specimens to outside laboratories for semen culture when required.
• Oversee junior level lab staff on the performance of these tests.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as biology, chemistry, or other biological or physical science.
• One year of experience in a hospital, physician's office, or scientific lab with some general knowledge of lab techniques.
• Ability to work as a team player and part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and will be expected to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
