RN Charge Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced RN Charge Nurse to join our team at San Joaquin Nursing and Rehabilitation. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during your tour of duty.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise nursing staff and ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times
- Inform nursing service personnel of new admissions and ensure that rooms are ready for new admissions
- Make rounds with physicians and encourage them to record and sign progress notes in a timely manner
- Consult with residents, their families, and physicians in planning their care and treatment
- Visit residents daily to observe and evaluate their physical and emotional status
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary and ensure that it is provided in accordance with the resident's wishes
- Report problem areas to the Director and assist in developing and implementing corrective action
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure
- Experience in a nursing leadership role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
