Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Prime Healthcare. As a Computed Tomography Technologist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT Scanners and X-ray Machines: You will be responsible for operating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
  • Assist in Diagnosing Medical Conditions: You will assist in diagnosing medical conditions by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about patient care.
  • Ensure Patient Comfort and Safety: You will ensure patients' comfort and safety throughout the procedure, preparing them and positioning them properly on the CT table.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists: You will work closely with radiologists to interpret images and assist in administering contrast agents or performing certain procedures.
  • Maintain Equipment and Supplies: You will be responsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, ensuring equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygiene.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement Activities: You will participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Radiographic and Fluoroscopic Equipment: You must have knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Anatomy and Medical Terminology: You must have extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-Accredited Program: You must be a graduate of a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Radiology License and Fluoroscopy Permit: You must have a radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by the state.
  • CT ARRT Certification: You must have CT ARRT Certification, effective July 1, 2015.
  • BCLS (AHA) Certification: You must maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Acute, Clinical Radiology Experience: One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
