About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chip Room Technician to join our team at Ryder System. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for handling and assembling microchips using specialized tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex, repetitive sequences of operations with dexterity, a high degree of concentration, and skill for delicate components.
  • Handle microchips using fine hand assembly, the use of microscopes, specialized tools such as air pencils, and adherence to cleanroom procedures.
  • Follow written procedures, manuals, drawings, and other verbal and written instructions.
  • Some assembly to finalize product after determining performance criteria, including labeling and serializing.
  • Pack items for shipping and distribution.
  • Perform routine maintenance on test equipment.
  • May be required to work as a material handler in addition to working in the Clean Room environment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year or more experience related to warehouse - high tech, familiarity with ESD and foreign object debris (FOD) requirements preferred.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Visual acuity.
  • Competent handling of miniature and fragile parts with vacuum tools and tweezers.
  • Ability to handle and assemble miniature components using a microscope.
  • Produce consistent quality of workmanship on repetitive manual and semi-automated processes.
  • Clean Room related PPE.
  • Automatic or semi-automatic equipment (intermediate level) preferred.
  • Automatic testing equipment (intermediate level) preferred.
  • Microscope (intermediate level) preferred.
  • Power tools (ESD Compliant) (intermediate level) preferred.
  • Process equipment (ESD Compliant) (intermediate level) preferred.
  • Safety Sensitive Position.
  • Non-Regulated Tech may operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery.
