Machinist Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist Fabricator to join our team at KE Marine / Worldwide Diesel Power, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

• To set up, adjust, or operate machine tools used for precision machining operations.
• To align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and attachments onto machines.
• To measure, examine, or test completed units for defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• To monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
• To maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
• To study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products.
• To operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
• To check work pieces to ensure they are properly lubricated or cooled.
• To diagnose machine tool malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
• To confer with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
• To lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display placement of cuts.
• To fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools.
• To set up or operate metalworking, brazing, heat-treating, welding, or cutting equipment.
• To dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• To evaluate machining procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency or adaptability.
• To dismantle machines or equipment, using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts where needed.
• To install repaired parts into equipment or install new equipment.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Completion of an apprenticeship program and/or college/technical school training program is preferred.
• Experience: At least 4 years' experience as a machinist.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
