Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audiologist to join our ENT department at Houston Methodist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing routine audiometric testing and recommending aural habilitative or rehabilitative services for patients with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and interpret auditory evoked potential studies, electronystagmography, and video stagmography assessments.
  • Conduct self in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement planning and efforts to consistently improve systems and processes.
  • Utilize resources with cost effectiveness and value creation in mind.
  • Maintain personal professional development through organization membership, attendance at seminars, workshops, and other educational programs.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree (AuD) in Audiology or Communication Disorders with a major in Audiology.
  • One year of Medical Audiology experience.
  • Hearing aid dispensing preferred.
  • LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS - REQUIRED: Audiologist - State Licensure, BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA), Texas Department of Health Infant Screener registration within 90 days, ASHA-CCC-SLP - AHSA-Certified Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology within 90 days, or AAA - American Academy of Audiology- Certified by Amer Board of Audiology within 90 days.
