Electrical Assembly Technician

Schedule: Shift 2; M-F (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)

Position Overview:

An Electrical Assembler plays a crucial role in executing sub-assembly wiring and final assembly wiring tasks on products related to Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, including LV Motor Control Centers, MV breakers, MV switchgear, DC Electric Vehicle Chargers, and Solar Inverters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sub-assembly wiring and final assembly wiring with exceptional accuracy and craftsmanship.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team player.
  • Handle large power cables while applying the correct crimping methods for connectors.
  • Utilize proper stripping and crimping techniques.
  • Assemble components on panels according to specified layouts or drawings.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly (product build) is necessary.
  • At least 1 year of experience with commercial or industrial wiring is essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with standard hand and power tools, including pneumatic and battery-operated tools, as well as wiring tools such as hand crimpers and wire strippers.
  • Strong teamwork skills are a must.
  • Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or technical training in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with electrical clearances is advantageous.
