Job Summary:
Optima, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Structural Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in structural and MEP trades, with a strong understanding of building codes and systems. This is a unique opportunity to work on mid- to high-rise fast-track residential construction projects and contribute to the success of our team.

About the Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for quality control of all trades, coordinating and scheduling work, and monitoring equipment startups and commissioning. They will also review structural shop drawings, attend coordination meetings, and enforce onsite safety programs. Additionally, they will collaborate with the architect and subcontractors to process RFI's and maintain expediting and daily logs.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with the on-site team of superintendents to ensure smooth project execution
  2. Conduct quality control checks on all trades to ensure compliance with specifications
  3. Coordinate and schedule work from excavation through completion and commissioning of equipment
  4. Review structural shop drawings to identify potential conflicts
  5. Attend and co-chair weekly coordination meetings with all trades
  6. Enforce onsite safety programs and monitor equipment startups and commissioning
  7. Collaborate with the architect and subcontractors to process RFI's
  8. Maintain expediting and daily logs
  9. Craft and complete punch lists to ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract documents

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in structural and MEP trades
  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • Constructed at least a $25M project start to finish
  • Mid- to high-rise fast-track residential construction experience required
