Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Optical Engineer to join our team in Milpitas, CA. As a key member of our optical engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and qualifying optical systems and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and refine optical system performance specifications
  • Conduct conceptual and detailed designs of optical products at module and system levels
  • Tolerance analysis, GD&T, error budgeting, and flow up and flow down of requirements
  • Manage and perform optical tests at the component, module, and system levels
  • Investigate and quantify the benefits of new optical measurement techniques
  • Work closely with customers, manufacturing engineers, and suppliers to resolve performance, quality, and cost issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in optics, physics, or engineering with 7+ years' industry experience
  • In-depth understanding of optical technologies and sub-systems
  • Proficiency with Zemax optical design and analysis tools
  • Experience with process and assembly design, qualification, and release to manufacturing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
