Overview:
Soliant Education is in search of a committed and empathetic Special Education Paraprofessional to provide essential support to students with special needs in a full-time capacity. This role is crucial in fostering an inclusive learning environment for students across various grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist educators in executing individualized education plans (IEPs) and tailored instructional activities.
  • Provide focused support to students, either individually or in small groups, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met.
  • Facilitate daily living activities for students, ensuring their safety and well-being within the educational setting.
  • Encourage the growth of students' social, emotional, and academic skills through positive reinforcement.
  • Track and document student progress and behaviors to support ongoing development.
  • Maintain effective communication with educators, parents, and other staff members.
  • Help prepare instructional materials and assist in classroom organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a school environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with special education principles and practices is essential.
  • Ability to engage effectively with students who have diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a strong desire to assist students in achieving their goals.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; additional certifications in special education are advantageous.
  • Must be able to pass background checks and other pre-employment screenings.
