Job Summary

Apex Systems is seeking a skilled CMM Technician to join our team in the Norristown, PA area. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for mechanical and electrical fabrication of flight and ground support hardware, as well as electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical assembly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of hands-on assembly tasks, from repetitive to nonrepetitive production assembly operations.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies under simulated conditions.
  • Work as a member of a team, communicating technical issues to Manufacturing / Quality Engineers and supporting corrective actions.
  • Ability to be trained to perform all duties in accordance with training requirements, such as hand soldering, bonding, harness fabrication, module assembly, and black box level assembly.
Requirements
  • Mechanical dexterity.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists.
  • Ability to pass JSTD-001 certification, SSC JSTD001MAP Solder OPER Certification, SSC NASA Polymerics Operator Certification, and SSC NASA Cable/Harness Operator Certification.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Conformal Coating experience.
  • JSD-001 certification.
  • Able to read drawings and measurements.
  • Proficiencies with epoxies and structural adhesives.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Operate cutting tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, drills, and rotary tools with proficiency.
  • Basic technological and mathematical proficiency.
  • Passionate about their work and takes pride in delivering high-quality hardware.
  • Solid computer skills, competent with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
  • Preferred candidate should be proficient with VE-CAMS and SAP.
  • 2 years' experience in the industry.
