Hourly Pay Rate: $63.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Overview:

The Sonographer II is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Under the supervision of the Radiology management team, the Sonographer performs medical imaging in a variety of specialty areas, utilizing advanced technology and expertise to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct high-quality ultrasound exams in specialty areas to assist with accurate diagnosis and patient treatment.
  • Participate in on-call rotations after regular department hours, including weekends and holidays, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Document and generate reports using applicable computer software, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to create a supportive and efficient environment for patient care, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency with computer skills and software for documentation and report generation, ensuring seamless integration with our healthcare systems.
  • Advanced training and experience in sonography, with a strong foundation in medical imaging principles and practices.
  • Ability to foster collaboration with the healthcare team and maintain a professional atmosphere, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Punctual, consistent, and able to maintain attendance at assigned job locations, ensuring reliable and high-quality patient care.

Education/Certifications/Licenses:
  • Graduate of an approved Ultrasound training program, with a strong foundation in medical imaging principles and practices.
  • Valid Oregon permanent or temporary OBMI license required upon hire, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required, demonstrating a commitment to patient safety and well-being.
  • Minimum of two specialty certifications from one of the following: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Experience:
  • At least one year of prior experience as a Sonographer preferred, with a strong foundation in medical imaging principles and practices.
Certification Requirements:
  • ARDMS
  • ARRT
  • BLS
  • CCI - RCIS
