We are seeking an experienced Vibration Test Engineer to join our team at Hartzell Propeller LLC. in [Location]. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a world-class engineering and manufacturing company that designs, develops, tests, manufactures, and supports constant-speed aluminum and composite propeller systems for all categories of aircraft.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting propeller vibration test activities to determine compatible propeller and engine combinations to be installed on aircraft. This will involve coordinating test activities, managing test asset logistics, analyzing data, and writing technical reports. The position requires domestic and international travel to conduct propeller vibration tests.

As a Vibration Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compatibility of propeller and engine combinations, which is essential for safe and efficient aircraft operation. You will also have the opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and technicians who are passionate about delivering high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct propeller vibration tests to determine compatible propeller and engine combinations
  • Coordinate test activities and manage test asset logistics
  • Analyze data and write technical reports documenting propeller/engine/aircraft testing and compatibility
  • Communicate with colleagues, customers, and external consultants regarding design, configuration, and installation issues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering Technology with an A&P certificate. Airplane pilot experience and knowledge of General Aviation aircraft are highly desirable, as is experience with electronic equipment.

You should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in MS Office. Additionally, you should be able to learn quickly and adapt to new situations, as this role involves working with complex technical data and equipment.
