Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance and Fleet Management Director to join our team at Coach USA Wisconsin Coach Lines. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of our fleet of deluxe motorcoaches, ensuring that all vehicles are properly maintained and meet regulatory requirements.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain the condition and reliability of the fleet.
  • Manage a team of technicians, parts specialists, and wash bay cleaning staff to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the fleet.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all commercial vehicles, including routine preventive maintenance inspections and repairs.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and company policy.
  • Analyze data and trends to optimize maintenance schedules and reduce downtime.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry developments to ensure the fleet remains compliant and competitive.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members to enhance their technical and leadership skills.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction within the maintenance department.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial vehicle maintenance, with a focus on fleet management.
  • Valid CDL Class B license or the ability to acquire one with passenger and airbrake endorsements.
  • Transportation-specific certifications, such as ASE or manufacturers' certifications, are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, such as US DOT and OSHA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
