Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a full-time Clinic RN for our medical clinic. Our team is recognized for delivering safe, high-quality patient care, emphasizing culture, inclusion, integrity, communication, collaboration, and excellence. Job Summary:

This role involves providing professional nursing services that prioritize quality patient care in a clinic environment, adhering to the standards and values of CHI Franciscan Health and relevant regulatory requirements. The incumbent will engage in direct patient care, including assessment, coordination, triage, evaluation, and delegation of tasks to the patient care team, while also providing education and consultation to patients, families, and healthcare staff to implement appropriate nursing interventions for optimal patient outcomes.

Work is conducted under established safety and care standards, offering guidance for addressing patient needs in the absence of a physician or provider. Critical thinking and sound judgment are essential in making decisions regarding patient care, integrating available standards, resources, and data, while efficiently utilizing staff and resources.

Continuous interaction with physicians, patients, families, community agencies, and healthcare staff is a key aspect of this role. The incumbent is accountable for the quality of care delivered to patients and has the authority to direct care, provide education, and delegate appropriate tasks.

Essential Duties:

- Deliver professional nursing care to clinic patients, performing diagnostic tests and clinical procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Independently triage nursing situations based on standing orders and protocols, addressing complex or urgent situations as necessary.
- Administer medications as per provider orders, tracking usage according to established policies.
- Assist with point-of-care testing and lab tests, following established guidelines.
- Document all procedures and patient interactions in the electronic medical record, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
- Prepare patients for practitioner visits, including obtaining and recording vital signs and relevant medical history.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, including restocking supplies and sterilizing instruments.

Cultural Sensitivity and Competence:
Demonstrate effective communication skills and an understanding of how cultural factors can influence patient interactions and care delivery.

Patient Population Served:
Exhibit knowledge and skills relevant to the specific populations served by the department.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program recognized by the Washington State Board of Nursing. Preferred candidates will have one year of RN experience in a clinic setting or two years in acute care.

Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.

Pay Range:
$53.60/hour
