Fortinet is seeking experienced IT professionals to become integral members of our RD Infrastructure team. This team is tasked with overseeing the management of colocation facilities that support our on-premise cloud solutions.

This role is ideal for IT specialists who possess a blend of expertise in virtualization, server management, storage solutions, networking, and Openstack technologies.


Key Responsibilities:

As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and deployment of various private cloud platforms located in colocation facilities across the US.

  • Administer and maintain VIO (VMware Integrated Openstack)
  • Oversee VMware VSphere/VCenter environments
  • Utilize VMware NSXT for network management
  • Manage network infrastructure, including physical and virtual switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Coordinate equipment orders, manage physical infrastructure, and track assets
  • Rack and stack servers while troubleshooting hardware issues with vendor support
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors, including colocation providers and ISPs
  • Provide on-call support as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in production platform operations
  • Minimum of 5 years in infrastructure operations
  • Expertise in Enterprise VMware server virtualization
  • Proficiency in VMware NSX or NSXT
  • Fundamental knowledge of Openstack administration
  • Basic Linux server administration skills (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
  • Understanding of network administration and standard protocols
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, etc.)
  • Familiarity with at least one scripting language (Powershell, Powercli, Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • RHCE certification
  • Openstack certification
  • VMware VCAP or NSX certification

Educational Background:
  • A degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a related field
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Master's Degree is preferred

The salary range for this full-time position is competitive and based on various factors including market conditions, job type, and level of experience.
