Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Welding Instructor to join our team at Porter and Chester Institute. As a Welding Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in the field of welding.

With 9 campus locations throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts, we offer comprehensive training programs in fields such as automotive technology, HVAC-R, CAD, electrician, plumbing, medical assisting, dental assisting, practical nursing, and computer & technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver effective instruction to students in welding techniques and processes.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to ensure academic success.
Requirements:
  • Must have minimum 3 years experience as a licensed welder, not including apprenticeship.
  • AWS certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the welding industry, including GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, and Plasma.
  • Ability to use common software programs (MS Word/Excel/Outlook etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
