The State and Local Sales and Use Tax team provides valuable advice to our clients on solving their most pressing sales tax issues.
- Provide expert sales and use tax advisory and planning services to multi-state companies.
- Drive business development of State and Local tax practice by generating new revenue on existing client portfolio, cross selling, and growing new client relationships for the tax practice.
- Serve as a Career Advisor, mentor or coach to one or more employees, providing honest and timely performance feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- 60% of time: Provide sales and use tax advisory and planning services to multi-state companies.
- 30% of time: Drive business development of State and Local tax practice.
- 10% of time: Serve as a Career Advisor, mentor or coach to one or more employees.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience providing sales and use tax consulting services in a public accounting, consulting or law firm.
- Thorough knowledge of a variety of state and local sales and use tax laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management and critical thinking skills.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
