Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Night Auditor to join our team at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores. As a Night Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the profitability and smooth operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct nightly audit-related duties, maintaining and promoting excellence in hospitality and customer service.
  • Welcoming and serving guests in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner, both face-to-face and on the phone.
  • Input and retrieve information from the computer, including confirmation of guest information, room rates, and additional charges.
  • Assist guests with check-out, ensuring rooms are serviced and correctly accounted for.
  • Operate a cash register and maintain an accurate and organized drawer.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Field guest complaints, conduct research, and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
  • Perform nightly balancing of in-room video and long-distance telephone services.
  • Perform express checkout folios, room key inventory, and communicate shift information to the Front Desk Supervisor and General Manager.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and operate a cash register.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, organization skills, can-do attitude, sense of urgency, and strong work ethic.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Requires standing and walking, with some bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
  • Occasional light lifting not over 50lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing these duties, the employee may be exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons. Occasionally, the employee will also be exposed to fumes and particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.
