Biomedical Engineering Lecturer

San Jose State University is seeking a highly qualified Biomedical Engineering Lecturer to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Biomedical Engineering, as well as developing and implementing curriculum.
Responsibilities:- Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Biomedical Engineering, including lectures, labs, and seminars.
- Develop and implement curriculum, including course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Advise students on academic and career goals, and provide mentorship and guidance.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and professional development.
- Stay current with developments in the field of Biomedical Engineering, and incorporate new knowledge and technologies into teaching and research.
- Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Expertise in biomedical electronics, bioinstrumentation, biomedical and clinical imaging, biomechanics, biomaterials, biomedical device design and/or manufacturing, or other areas closely related to biomedical engineering.
- Ability to teach and communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Several years of experience in teaching, research, or industry in Biomedical Engineering.
- Ability to evaluate adult learners and provide effective feedback.
