About the Role

Burns & McDonnell is a leading engineering and architecture firm with a strong presence in the data center industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Architect to join our Mission Critical team, where you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist project teams in the design and development of data center facilities, from conceptual design to construction administration.
  • Develop and review production drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop interior designs that meet client vision and architectural needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry codes, practices, and procedures, applying this knowledge to ensure high-quality designs.
  • Manage data and prepare client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and construction administration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an accredited program, with 4 years of architectural experience, or Master's Degree in Architecture with 3 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated progress toward becoming a Registered Architect.
  • Strong knowledge of standard architectural techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in BIM (Revit), Adobe Suites, and 3D rendering programs.
