About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consulting Utility Forester to join our team at Eocene Environmental Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of power to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact property owners and public agencies to discuss pruning and removal of trees and brush
  • Conduct thorough tree and brush inventories to identify potential hazards
  • Perform hazard tree inspections and evaluations to ensure public safety
  • Plan and coordinate work with tree contractors to ensure efficient and effective execution
  • Manage and analyze data to inform decision-making and improve operations
  • Ensure a safe working environment for employees and the public by enforcing on-the-job safety practices
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Requirements
  • Degree in forestry or a related field, or equivalent experience in utility line clearance
  • Strong species identification skills and knowledge of invasive species, as well as tree growth rates
  • Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months of hire
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
  • Proficient in map navigation skills and experience with Microsoft Office and data collection software (GIS experience a plus)
