Job Title: Associate Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Quality Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master of Science (MS) in a relevant STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience with statistical methods and analysis.
  • Ability to clearly present and communicate ideas, concepts, and plans.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with thin film optical materials and thin film characterization techniques.
  • Active DoD Security clearance.
  • Ability to model complex systems.
