Job Title: Transfer Specialist

At SCI Shared Resources, LLC, we are dedicated to providing compassionate and professional services to our clients. As a Transfer Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and respectful transportation of deceased individuals.

Responsibilities:
  • Transfer Operations: Safely drive company-owned vehicles to perform transfers, adhering to local and state laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Cooperate with first responders, coroners, hospital staff, and senior living facility staff to accommodate their processes and procedures.
  • Family Interaction: Interact with bereaved family members in a courteous and professional manner, minimizing conversation and following company procedures for transferring soiled garments and other materials.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Enter deceased event information into proprietary software according to company procedures.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Wash, vacuum, and clean vehicles to ensure they are presentable, fuel vehicles as necessary, and follow safety guidelines and expenditure processes.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Licenses: Current state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Experience: At least one year of work experience as a courier or driver, with direct customer interaction preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to work a schedule that supports business needs, including weekends and nights; ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds; basic computer skills required.
Work Environment:
  • Work Environment: Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions; local and/or multiple location traveling required.
  • Work Postures: Frequent, continuous periods of time standing, up to 6 hours per day; climbing stairs to access buildings frequently.
