Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor at our Distribution Center is tasked with orchestrating and overseeing workload distribution within a designated department or area. This role involves guiding team members towards peak performance, achieving critical performance metrics and objectives, while ensuring adherence to company policies and a strong customer focus. The Supervisor will lead a team of Distribution Center Team Members, ensuring that training and performance align with company standards. Under the general guidance of a Manager, this position involves planning, organizing, and directing warehouse operations for the assigned team, which may encompass selection, shipping & receiving, and detailing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee performance activities to guarantee that daily objectives and priorities are achieved while upholding quality and safety standards. Assess Team Member performance and adjust priorities as necessary to meet daily targets.
  • Facilitate effective communication across all organizational levels to enhance efficiency in work processes and foster a positive work environment. Collaborate with peers and management to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Conduct comprehensive training sessions with Team Members to promote optimal performance. Provide continuous mentorship and development opportunities for current staff.
  • Implement and uphold Distribution Center company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties

Supervise a team within the Distribution Center Operations, conducting performance management for team members.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience is required, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced distribution center or manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to stand or walk on concrete for extended periods.
  • Capability to climb metal stairs and/or ladders.
  • Proficient in operating a computer and other office equipment.
  • Physical ability to sit, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and twist.
  • Lift and move up to 65 lbs. unassisted and 75 lbs. with assistance.
