Job Summary:

As a Speech Language Pathologist Level II at Kaiser Permanente, you will be responsible for providing diagnosis and treatment of complex communication disorders for adults and children. You will ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements, oversee the work of entry-level staff, and support community programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and administers diagnostic tests to adults and children with communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairment, and neurological defects.
• Provides individualized treatment plans and advises physicians and member/caregivers of test results.
• Collaborates with physicians to develop treatment plans and provides training for junior therapists.
• Participates in developing inservice programs for staff development and monitors the work of contract therapists.
• Serves as a consultant on interdisciplinary teams and develops, implements, and maintains department policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Minimum two years of previous experience as a Speech Therapist.
• Speech-Language Pathologist License (California) and Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
