Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Radiographer to join our team at University of Maryland Medical System. As a Radiographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiologic procedures and providing excellent patient care.

About the Role

This is a full-time evening/night shift position from 3pm to 3am. Under general supervision, you will perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiologic procedures in all locations across various patient types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient's age.
  • Apply knowledge of radiology principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation protection and physics, radiographic positioning and patient care skills.
  • Document accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
  • Ensure a safe and appropriate work environment, maintain supplies and inventory, and document related equipment/environmental problems.
  • Participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience, and quality.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • Registered with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and Licensed Radiographer - State of MD.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between $30.85-$44.06 per hour. Shift differential may also be available. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes UMMS Benefits Guide and more. All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
