We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Nurse to join our team at St. Mark's Hospital. As a critical care nurse, you will provide top-notch patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Prioritize nursing care for assigned critically ill patients based on assessment data and identifies needs for intervention.
- Demonstrate appropriate decision making, critical thinking and clinical judgment to make nursing decisions and identify healthcare needs.
- Evaluate and document each patient's response to medications, interventions, and procedures.
- Assist in the formulation, coordination, and implementation of the patient's Plan of Care based on the assessment of their individual needs.
- Monitor basic EKG, recognize rhythms and the ability to intervene as needed.
- Assist the physician with procedures such as intubation, line placement and chest tubes.
- Ensure ventilator, monitors and other equipment are functioning properly. You are able to trouble shoot alarms.
- Demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized and function well under stressful situations.
- Collaborate with fellow members of the critical care team.
- Current Utah State RN license or compact state RN license in good standing.
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- One (1) or more years ICU experience required.

St. Mark's has expanded emergency access to the communities we serve with two free-standing emergency centers, and. Both locations have 10 plus patient rooms are staffed 24/7 by experienced board-certified emergency room physicians, nurses and support teams from St. Mark's Hospital. In addition to ER care, both facilities give comprehensive imaging services, including computerized tomography (CT scan), X-ray, and ultrasound as well as a fully-equipped medical laboratory.
