We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Emergency Services Technician to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtain vital signs and differentiate normal from abnormal findings, reporting any concerns to the RN.
- Provide phlebotomy services for patients, working collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff.
- Assist the RN in carrying out the plan of care for assigned patients, acting appropriately in critical situations.
- Contribute to the care coordination and safe transportation of patients through the ED visit, including transporting low-risk monitored patients.
- Perform transportation responsibilities, including delivering laboratory specimens, blood products, and medications to various departments.
- Implement care based on prioritized patient needs, assist with the plan of care, and participate in discharge planning under the supervision of the RN and as delegated by the physician.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- No previous experience necessary.
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association certification required.
- EMTB-EMT Basic - CO - State of Colorado certification required.
- IV Certification.
