About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Speech Therapist to join our team at Coos Bay Rehabilitation in Coos Bay, Oregon. As a key member of our rehabilitation department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our mission to enhance the lives of every person we serve.

Job Summary

The Senior Speech Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with speech and language disorders, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with speech and language disorders, including assessing communication skills and developing personalized treatment plans
  • Develop and implement effective treatment strategies to improve patient outcomes and quality of life
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry advancements
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Oregon
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Speech Therapist in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans
