Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing products in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, and shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Load trucks in a safe and orderly manner to ensure products arrive at customer locations in good condition.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences.
  • Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping area.
  • Mark materials with identifying information using the appropriate method.
  • Assist in counting physical inventory.
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
  • Prepare parcels for mailing.
  • Sweep, dust, and mop the warehouse and work area.
  • Organize the warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to work with other employees as a team.
  • Must be capable of obtaining certification to operate power equipment.
