Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care, health maintenance, and patient education in our Adult Medicine department at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. This role demands both direct and indirect patient care responsibilities, with a focus on optimizing patient functioning and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize sound clinical judgment to triage patients effectively and manage medication refills with proper provider authorization.
- Document patient histories, assessments, plans, and treatments accurately.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new employees and provide input on developing orientation plans and professional growth opportunities.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with patients and families and recognize and address the safety needs of the patient population.
- Engage in transition of care, recalls, high-risk management, in-basket management, and vaccine administration.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and RN licensure in Massachusetts.
- BLS certification required and bilingual skills are a plus.
- At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience in a community health or ambulatory care setting preferred.
