Geriatric Nursing Assistant Job Description

AdeIphi Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled and compassionate Geriatric Nursing Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients in need of care.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivering High-Quality Patient Care
    • Assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained at all times.
    • Perform nursing tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Patient Rounds and Documentation
    • Conduct thorough rounds of patients receiving medical or psychiatric care, documenting observations and any changes in their condition.
    • Report significant changes or concerns to the RN for prompt attention and intervention.
  • Specimen Collection and Preparation
    • Obtain specimens from patients as required for diagnostic testing, following proper infection control procedures.
    • Prepare necessary documentation for patient transfers or appointments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Supporting Non-Custody Staff
    • Collaborate with other non-custody staff members to provide comprehensive patient care, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
Requirements:
  • Certifications and Qualifications
    • Hold a valid Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) Certificate.
    • Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
