Restaurant Server/Runner

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Service Associate to join our team at Sonesta International Hotels. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring that our guests feel valued and cared for.

• Greet and Welcome Guests: Greet and acknowledge all arriving guests in a prompt and professional manner, engaging and interacting with them as appropriate.
• Food and Beverage Service: Demonstrate complete knowledge of the food and beverage menu, serving food and beverage orders after checking for correct temperature, appearance, and portions, and refilling when necessary.
• Operate POS System: Operate the POS system and ensure food orders are verified and transmitted in a prompt manner, adhering to all cash handling and credit card policies and procedures.
• Maintain Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas, stations, and servicing equipment, adhering to established safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Provide Exceptional Service: Periodically check-in with tables to ensure guests' expectations are being met and exceeded, and respond to all guests' questions and requests in a friendly and courteous manner.

• Education and Experience: Two years of experience as a server in a full-service restaurant, preferably in a fine dining establishment, and a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Skills and Qualifications: Attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
• Physical Demands: Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, and be able to stand during entire shifts.
