Camin Cargo Control is seeking a highly skilled Petroleum Inspector to join our team. As a Petroleum Inspector, you will be responsible for performing sampling, pipeline transfers, inventories, and barge inspections, including line condition surveys. You will also perform vessel inspections under the direct supervision of a Senior Inspector.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform sampling, pipeline transfers, inventories, and barge inspections, including line condition surveys.
- Perform vessel inspections under the direct supervision of a Senior Inspector.
- Certify that field assignments conform to company policies and procedures.
- Act as a company representative in the field and maintain regular contact with the Operations Department.
- Effectively communicate all aspects of assigned job duties and maintain regular contact with terminals and vessels to avoid delays or conflicts.
- Obtain, label, and transport samples to the laboratory in a timely manner.
- Maintain assigned inspection equipment in good working order and ensure equipment is properly calibrated and stored.
- Measure products and perform all required field calculations per the API Standards.
- Perform specialized inspection services such as loss control, wall washings, or confined space entry upon receiving required training.
- Assist in the training of Probationary and Junior Inspectors.
The workday may consist of 8-12 hours, and much of the work is performed outdoors, wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The work may involve possible exposure to high and low temperatures for prolonged durations.
The job requires the ability to lift up to 45 pounds, walk for up to 6 hours, push and pull for up to 2 hours, carry for up to 4 hours, ascend and descend ladders and stairs for up to 2 hours, and stand for up to 6 hours.
