Job Summary

Sutter Health is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist III to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures to produce high-quality images
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety
  • May be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or helping to orient other staff to the department
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an educational program in Nuclear Medicine accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology or the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Successful completion of an educational program in Radiography accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology
  • RHN-Radiologic Health Nuclear Medicine (Department of Public Health) certification (required if working in California)
  • NMT- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification
  • OR ARRT(N)-Nuclear Medicine Technology (American Register of Radiologic Technologists) certification
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience
  • General knowledge of diagnostic nuclear medicine principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Ability to perform routine nuclear medicine examinations and basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems
