Job Title: Senior Park Attendant

We are seeking energetic and customer-friendly individuals to join our team as Seasonal Ice Rink Attendants at the Union County Ice Rink in Sun Valley Commons.

Job Summary

This position involves creating a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for all guests, ensuring the smooth operation of the ice rink, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests, assist with ticket sales and equipment rentals, handle card transactions, and provide information about rink rules and operations.
  • Distribute and collect ice skates, ensure proper fit, and maintain cleanliness and order in the skate rental area.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks to include shoveling snow from ice rink surfaces, tidying up public areas, and emptying trash receptacles.
  • Be familiar with the layout of the ice-skating facility and emergency procedures/contacts.
  • Assists with planning, setting up, and managing special skating events such as skating lessons, birthday parties, etc.
  • Assists with promoting skating programs, events, and activities to the public.
  • Effectively and professionally interacts with the public, ensuring adherence to rink rules and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently while ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Communicates clearly and confidently with visitors and other park staff, and answers questions providing information about skating sessions, rink events, and safety procedures.
  • Handles stress and resolves conflicts calmly, particularly when dealing with large crowds or upset patrons with the assistance from a full-time staff member.
  • Maintains a high standard of performance, ensuring all duties are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Attends work regularly, adhering to company policies on attendance and punctuality, including working nights, weekends, and holidays and required by the seasonal nature of the job.
  • Follows directions and works cooperatively with supervisors and other team members.
  • Shares knowledge and offers suggestions for improving rink operations and enhancing customer experiences.
  • Operates small office equipment such as cash registers and telephone and may use computers for data entry and tracking of rental inventory.
