Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Histology Technologist to join our Anatomic Pathology team at Sonora Quest. As a key member of our laboratory services team, you will be responsible for the receipt and processing of biological specimens, preparation of samples for testing, and performance of waived and moderately complex tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specimen Processing: Receive, examine, and process pathology specimens in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Perform waived and moderately complex tests, including start-up, calibration, and accuracy of procedures and instrumentation.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to new employees and contribute to the development of laboratory procedures and protocols.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree with Anatomic Pathology departmental-specific certification.
  • Experience: Eligibility for ASCP HT registry or equivalent experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Skills: Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
