Join Our Purpose


The Youth Support Specialist position is dedicated to fostering a secure, nurturing, and therapeutic atmosphere for adolescents in a secure detention environment.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure that fundamental needs are fulfilled, with a strong focus on effective supervision and engagement in all facets of the program.

This encompasses facility management, recreational pursuits, and educational initiatives while imparting social skills through relationship development and exemplary modeling.

Sign-on Bonus: $1,250

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and facilitate engaging activities for youth.

- Establish therapeutic connections with youth and their families.

- Monitor, guide, and address any delinquent, unsafe, or atypical behaviors as needed.

- Assess, interpret, instruct, and guide youth behavior while managing group dynamics effectively.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; an Associate's Degree is preferred.

- At least 2 years of professional experience in child welfare, specifically working with children and/or adolescents in a social service context.

- Capability to engage with a diverse population economically and culturally.

- Proven communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment; must be able to obtain TCI and First Aid/CPR certifications.

Compensation and Schedule:

- Compensation is based on experience and education, starting at $21.75 per hour.
- Available shifts include 3PM-11PM.
