We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to our nation's veterans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient care, including history taking, physical examinations, and developing individualized treatment plans.
- Diagnose and treat patients in various clinical settings, including inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Prescribe medications and provide education and counseling to patients and their families.
- Contribute to the achievement of quality care standards and actively participate in patient safety initiatives.
- Establish professional working relationships with clinical service providers and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Graduate of a training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of PA (ARC-PA) or one of its predecessor organizations.
- Master's degree in any discipline or Bachelor's degree in any discipline with one year of experience as a PA.
- Successful completion of the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE).
- Active, current, full, and unrestricted license to practice in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
This is a full-time position with various work schedules available, including rotating call coverage, weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays. The supervisor will determine the actual work schedule upon selection based on the needs of the organization.
