We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lab Supervisor to join our team at Quest Diagnostics Incorporated.
Job Summary:The Lab Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring that all tests and procedures are performed accurately and efficiently. This includes supervising laboratory staff, managing inventory and supplies, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the work of laboratory staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating employees.
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage laboratory inventory and supplies, including ordering and maintaining equipment and reagents.
- Ensure that all laboratory tests and procedures are performed accurately and efficiently, and that results are reported in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of laboratory services.
- Four to six years of experience as a medical technologist or equivalent in a clinical laboratory.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory procedures and regulations, including CLIA and HIPAA.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with clients and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
