We are seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join our team at Heritage Bank. As a Credit Analyst, you will play a critical role in assisting Commercial Bankers in underwriting credits, portfolio management, maintenance, and customer service for an assigned portfolio of commercial accounts.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and collateral evaluation for commercial loan requests.
- Conduct thorough analysis of creditworthiness, including review of financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant information.
- Develop and maintain relationships with commercial clients, providing exceptional customer service and responding to their needs and inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with Credit Administration to negotiate structuring, pricing, and edits needed to highlight and mitigate credit risks.
- Track loan agreement compliance, covenant monitoring, borrowing base certificates, and financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or relevant discipline preferred.
- Level I: 1 year of recent experience in commercial lending support and/or credit analyst role; Level II: 3-5 years of recent commercial credit underwriting experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient use of MS Office products, with ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
Climate-controlled office environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule required.
