We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at Bayonet Point Surgery Center. This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment.

 

**Job Summary**

 

The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse, assisting with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in accordance with a defined scope of practice within the operating room. Key responsibilities will include direct patient care and observation, scrubbing and assisting the surgeon at the operative field, surgical room turnover between cases, collection and recording of pertinent clinical data in the medical record, and consistent collaboration with the Registered Nurse in clinical decision making.

 

**Requirements**

 

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a graduate degree from an accredited Surgical Technology program, be certified as a Surgical Technologist, and have at least one year of experience in an operating room setting. Valid BCLS Certification is also required upon employment. A strong understanding of surgical asepsis and proficiency in handling instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles, and dressings are essential for success in this position.
