Job Summary

This position is responsible for planning and implementing activities that promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and be able to work effectively with children, parents, and staff to create a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of children aged [insert age range]
  • Work collaboratively with staff to create a cohesive and engaging program
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure the needs of children are met
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children at all times
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • At least 18 years old
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds or more
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and comprehensive background check
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, including adults and children
  • Knowledge of the Nisqually Indian Tribe's history, customs, and traditions
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to lift and move children and equipment as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
