This position is responsible for planning and implementing activities that promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and be able to work effectively with children, parents, and staff to create a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of children aged [insert age range]
- Work collaboratively with staff to create a cohesive and engaging program
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure the needs of children are met
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children at all times
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to lift 40 pounds or more
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and comprehensive background check
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including adults and children
- Knowledge of the Nisqually Indian Tribe's history, customs, and traditions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and move children and equipment as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
